OBITUARIES ERNEST HJELMSTAD

Ernest J. Hjelmstad, 76, 2118 S. 20th St., Grand Forks, died Wednesday, July 4, 1990, in The United Hospital, Grand Forks.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Stjordalen Lutheran Church, rural Reynolds. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, in Bilden-Arnett Funeral Home, Northwood, N.D.
Ernest Hjelmstad was born July 14, 1913, the son of Jens and Hannah Hjelmstad, in Reynolds, were he grew up. He worked at the Hjelmstad grocery store, rural Reynolds, until 1937 when he established the Jensville store, rural Reynolds. He married Rose Dahl June 29, 1946, in Reynolds. He farmed from 1950 to 1977, when he retired. They moved to Grand Forks in 1988.
Survivors are his wife; daughters, Judy (Mrs. Harley) Camperud and Shari (Mrs. Craig) Hanson, both of Northwood; three grandchildren; brother, Hilman, Bismarck; and sisters, Pearl Gilbertson, Grand Forks, Nora Marien, Zellwood, Fla., and Hazel Mogstad, Lincoln, Neb.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Adeline Gensrich.
