uesday, May 17, 1994 A9 Thomas Gabrielsen, great-grandfather WEST NYACK, N.Y. Thomas Gabrielsen died yesterday at Nyack (N.Y.) Hospital after a short illness. He was 81. He was born in Mandal, Norway, and lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., for 30 years, then Lake Telemark for 13 years before moving to West Nyack a year and a half ago.
Mr. Gabrielsen was a machinist at the Golden Marine Co. in Brooklyn for 20 years before retiring in 1968. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Telemark; the Sons of Norway Nor Bu Lodge in Rockaway Township; the Rockaway Township Senior Citizens Club; and I the Vasa Order of America Frithiof Lodge in Budd Lake. His wife, Hazel Gertrude, died in 1991.
Survivors include two sons, Roger of North Salem and Gorden of Arnedal, Norway; two daughters, Anne-Lise Vatne of West Nyack and Eva Traeland of New City; two sisters, Agate Olsen of Brooklyn and Gundren Thorsen of Norway; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
