Richard B. Telnes passed away November 29, 2013 in Seattle, WA at the age of 85. He was born in Anaconda, MT, but has been a resident of this area since the 1940s. He and his father, Ben Telnes, were long-time commercial fishermen and operated the fishing vessel "Joan Lee" from Ballard. For several years during the off-season, he also operated a television/radio repair business. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Esther Telnes; his daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Chris Marriott of Snohomish, WA; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Jayshree Telnes of Bothell, WA; grandchildren, Andrew Marriott, Brittney Telnes, Kyle Telnes and Emily Marriott; sisters, Doris Henderson of Edmonds, WA; Lenora Sankey of Mukilteo, WA; Joan Lange and her husband Tom of San Clemente, CA; brother, Rory Haines of Kenmore, WA; and was predeceased by his younger brother, Bill Telnes of Seattle, WA. His survivors also include numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He will be greatly missed by his loving family who are grateful for the care that he received during his stay at Virginia Mason Medical Center. |
