Harlan M. Brandner, 91, of Ladd died at 4:38 p.m. March 4, 2012, in Heritage Health Center, Peru.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hurst Funeral Home, Ladd, with the Rev Bill Ultch, pastor of Faith Bible Fellowship Church in Troy Grove, officiating. Burial will be at Valley Memorial Park, Spring Valley.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Thursday until time of services in the funeral home.
Mr Brandner was born Sept. 26, 1920, in Earlville to August L. and Bertha (Mickelson) Brandner. He married Marguerite L. Schallhorn on Feb. 14, 1944.
He was a farmer, retiring in 1976 and then opening The Windmill Antique Store in Ladd. Mr. Brandner was a member of Ladd Presbyterian Church and then First United Presbyterian Church in Mendota.
Survivors are one son, Brian (Debra) Brandner of Ladd; two daughters, Betty (Charles) Baumann of Mendota and Barbara (Dennis) Husser of rural Hennepin; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife on March 26, 2011, and two brothers and two sisters.
Pallbearers will be Jon Husser, Ryan and Ethan Brandner, Patrick and Andy Goy and Jared Matthews.
