Marguerite L. Brandner, 84, of Ladd died at 9:05 a.m. March 26, 2011, in St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First United Presby-terian Church, Mendota, with the Revs. Dale Dykstra and Gale Brandner officiating. Burial will be at Val-ley Memorial Park, Spring Valley after the luncheon in Mendota.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday in Hurst Funeral Home in Ladd and from 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the church until time of services.
She was born May 17, 1926, in Zearing to Fred and Marguerite (Atherton) Schallhorn. She married Harlan Brandner on Feb. 14, 1944. They just celebrated 67 years of marriage. Marguerite was a loving wife,mother, grandmother and friend.
Mrs Brandner was a beautician for more tha 40 years and just retired on dec. 31,2010. She loved quilting. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Mendota.
She is survived by her husband, one son Brian (Debra) Brandner of rural Spring Valley; two daughters, Betty (Charles) Baumann of Mendota and Barbara (Dennis) Husser of rural Hennepin; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Raymond Schallhorn; and three sisters, Ruth Pinter,Louise Keutzer and Janice Chaon.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Pallbearers will be Jon Husser, Ryan and Ethan Brandner, Patrick and Andy Goy and Jared Matthews.
